BHCC offers both a two-year full-time program and a three-year part-time program. First-year full-time students attend clinical at Mass General Hospital in Boston for two days per week. Second year full-time students attend clinical three days per week. Students also attend one summer session at MGH between their first and second year and two weeks of winter clinical during the semester break.  MGH has part-time students for two evenings per week for three semesters and during the final semester students attend clinical full-time days (four days per week). Days not spent in clinical are considered academic days and students attend classes at the college.

MBCC offers a two-year full-time program and a three-year part time program. The first year students spend two clinical days per week at MGH, while second year students attend three days per week. Also, there is a mandatory summer session to complete and two weeks of winter clinical during the semester break. MGH has part-time students for clinical five days per week for the entire third year, from September through August.

IHP offers a post-baccalaureate, full-time, 17- month certificate program.

All classes are on-line, with each semester consisting of blocks of laboratory practice followed by intervals of clinical experience. There are only 3 distinct times when the student is in clinical and they do not correspond to traditional semester settings.

NHTI offers a two-year full-time day program from June through May.

Students receive classroom training for one summer before starting clinical two days per week as a first year student and then three days per week for one semester of their final year and four days for the final semester.  Students attend one summer of clinical between the first and second year and are not responsible for winter clinical.

QU is a four-year college located Hamden, Connecticut.  Students spend clinical time at MGH during the summer between their second and third year when they are taking classes directly related to the Diagnostic Imaging Program.  Clinical is ten weeks, five days per week.  Students at QU are eligible to take their ARRT registry exam at the completion of the third year, specialize in a modality during their senior year and are then eligible to sit for ARRT boards in that specialty area.
